A brief of major schemes/initiatives launched by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in recent years 

1. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PMKISAN) 

PM-KISAN is a central sector scheme launched on 24th February 2019 to supplement financial needs of land holding farmers, subject to exclusions. Under the scheme, financial benefit of Rs. 6000/- per year is transferred in three equal four-monthly installments into the bank accounts of farmers’ families across the country, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Till Now, Rs. 2.81 lakh crores have been transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to more than 11 crores beneficiaries (Farmers) through various instalments. 

2. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY) 

In order to provide financial support and security to the most vulnerable farmer families, Government launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana w.e.f. 12.09.2019 to provide pension benefits to small and marginal farmers. PM KMY is meant for Small and Marginal Farmers falling in the entry age between 18 to 40 years having cultivable land up to 2 hectares The scheme seeks to provide Rs 3,000/- monthly pension to the Small and Marginal Farmers once they attain 60 years of age. As of now total number of farmers enrolled under the scheme is 23.38 Lakhs. .

Domestic Market Promotion (DMP)

Description In pursuance of Section 10(1) of Coir Industry Act 1953, Coir Board has been taking various measures for popularizing coir and coir products and expanding the domestic market. Establishment and maintenance of Showroom and Sales depots, participation in fairs / exhibitions organized by other agencies and organizing exclusive fairs for Coir and coir goods within the country, providing Market Development Assistance to State supported organizations for enlarging marketing network, organizing generic publicity through press, television, website and radio and erection of hoardings, fixing of quality standards, inspection and a certification of quality of coir goods are some of the measures taken by Coir Board towards achieving the objective. The activities undertaken by the Board for the purpose are publicity, participation in domestic exhibitions, Extension of performance linked Market Development Assistance, construction/renovation/interior decoration of new and existing showrooms/market development centres of the Board and field demonstration/displays.

प्रधानमंत्री किसान योजना: सरकार ने तय की गाइडलाइन, बिना आधार किसानों को नहीं मिलेंगे पैसे

बीते 1 फरवरी को अंतरिम बजट पेश करते हुए देश के कार्यवाहक वित्‍त मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने किसानों के लिए ''प्रधानमंत्री किसान सम्मान निधि'' योजना का ऐलान किया है. इस योजना के तहत दो हेक्टेयर तक की जोत वाले छोटे किसानों को सालाना 6,000 रुपये की नकद मदद दी जाएगी. लेकिन यह मदद हासिल करने के लिए किसानों के पास आधार होना जरूरी होगा. हालांकि पहली किस्त के लिए आधार नंबर देना अनिवार्य नहीं किया गया है. बता दें कि पहली किस्‍त के तहत किसानों को दो हजार रुपये की रकम दी जाएगी. इस योजना के तहत किसानों को 31 मार्च तक किस्‍त दे दी जाएगी.

केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्रालय ने राज्य सरकारों को भेजे पत्र में कहा है, पहली किस्त पाने के लिए आधार नंबर होना अनिवार्य नहीं है. इसके वैकल्पिक दस्तावेजों- ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, मतदाता पहचान पत्र नरेगा, रोजगार कार्ड या केंद्र और राज्य सरकार द्वारा जारी किसी अन्य पहचान पत्र के आधार पर पहली किस्त दी जा सकती है. वहीं दूसरी और उसके बाद की किस्त के लिए आधार नंबर अनिवार्य होगा. पात्र किसानों को दोहराव न हो, इसके लिए कृषि मंत्रालय ने राज्‍य सरकारों को सुनिश्चित करने को कहा है. राज्य सरकारों से कहा गया है कि वे गांवों में लाभार्थी छोटे और सीमान्त किसानों का डाटाबेस बनाएं. राज्यों से ऐसे किसानों का ब्यौरा - नाम, स्त्री हैं या पुरुष, एससी-एसटी, आधार, बैंक खाता संख्या और मोबाइल नंबर जुटाने को कहा है. बता दें कि केंद्र ने छोटे और सीमान्त किसानों को पति, पत्नी, 18 साल तक के नाबालिग बच्चों के हिसाब से परिभाषित किया है.

12 करोड़ किसानों को फायदा

मोदी सरकार की इस स्‍कीम का फायदा 12 करोड़ किसानों को होने की उम्‍मीद है. बीते शुक्रवार को बजट पेश करते हुए पीयूष गोयल ने कहा कि इस योजना के तहत 2 हेक्टेयर तक भूमि वाले छोटी जोत वाले किसान परिवारों को 6,000 रुपये प्रति वर्ष की दर से डायरेक्‍ट इनकम की मदद दी जाएगी. यह रकम 2,000 रुपये प्रत्येक की तीन समान किस्तों में लाभान्वित किसानों के बैंक खातों में सीधे ही ट्रांसफर कर दी जाएगी. इस कार्यक्रम से लगभग 12 करोड़ छोटे और सीमांत किसान परिवारों के लाभान्वित होने की उम्मीद है. योजना पर सरकार 75,000 करोड़ रुपये की राशि खर्च कर रही है.

बजट में ऐलान के मुताबिक यह स्‍कीम बीते 1 दिसंबर, 2018 से लागू है. कहने का मतलब ये है कि 1 दिसंबर 2018 से 31 मार्च, 2019 तक की अवधि के लिए पहली किस्त का इसी वर्ष के दौरान भुगतान कर दिया जाएगा.

Standup India

Stand up India was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 5 April 2016 to support entrepreneurship among women and SC & ST communities.

It is similar to but distinct from Startup India. Both are enabler and beneficiary of other key Government of India schemes, such as Make in India, Industrial corridor, Dedicated Freight Corridor, Sagarmala, Bharatmala, UDAN-RCS, Digital India, BharatNet and UMANG.

Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra (PMBJK)

Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi PariYojana Kendra(PMBJPK) is a campaign launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. Of India, to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses through special kendras known as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana Kendra (PMBJPK) have been set up to provide generic drugs, which are available at lesser prices but are equivalent in quality and efficacy as expensive branded drugs. BPPI (Bureau of Pharma Public Sector Undertakings of India) has been established under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. of India, with the support of all the CPSUs for co-coordinating procurement, supply and marketing of generic drugs through Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana

प्रधानमंत्री उज्जवला योजना भारत के गरीब परिवारों की महिलाओं के चेहरों पर खुशी लाने के उद्देश्य से केंद्र सरकार द्वारा 1 मई 2016 को शुरू की गई एक योजना है। इस योजना के अंतर्गत गरीब महिलाओं को मुफ्त एलपीजी गैस कनेक्शन मिलेंगे।

केंद्र सरकार द्वारा शुरू की गई इस योजना से गरीब महिलाओं को जल्‍द ही मिट्टी के चूल्‍हे से आजादी मिल जाएगी। इस योजना का मुख्य उद्देश्य ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में खाना पकाने के लिए उपयोग में आने वाले जीवाश्म ईंधन की जगह एलपीजी के उपयोग को बढ़ावा देना है। योजना का एक मुख्य उद्देश्य महिला सशक्तिकरण को बढ़ावा देना और उनकी सेहत की सुरक्षा करना भी है।

गरीब परिवार की महिला सदस्यों को मुफ्त रसोई गैस (एलपीजी) कनेक्शन मुहैया कराने के लिए मंत्रिमंडल ने 8,000 करोड़ रुपये की योजना को मंजूरी दी है।

National Food Security Mission

The National Development Council (NDC) in its 53rd meeting held on 29th May, 2007 adopted a resolution to launch a Food Security Mission comprising rice, wheat and pulses to increase the production of rice by 10 million tons, wheat by 8 million tons and pulses by 2 million tons by the end of the Eleventh Plan (2011-12). Accordingly, a Centrally Sponsored Scheme, 'National Food Security Mission' (NFSM), was launched in October 2007. The Mission is being continued during 12th Five Year Plan with new targets of additional production of food grains of 25 million tons of food grains comprising of 10 million tons rice, 8 million tons of wheat, 4 million tons of pulses and 3 million tons of coarse cereals by the end of 12th Five Year Plan. 

The National Food Security Mission (NFSM) during the 12th Five Year Plan will have five components (i) NFSM- Rice; (ii) NFSM-Wheat; (iii) NFSM-Pulses, (iv) NFSM-Coarse cereals and (v) NFSM-Commercial Crops.

National Career Service (India)

National Career Service (NCS) project is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment (India)Government of India as a Mission Mode Project for establishing quick and efficient career related services. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 20 July 2015 as part of government’s focus on providing right skills and generating employment.[1]

The Career Centres serve as a platform for addressing all career related needs of the youth and students.
